This statement applies to content published on the projectdelivery.gov.uk.

This website is run by the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority in HM Treasury on behalf of Government Project Delivery.

How you should be able to use this website

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. You should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
  • zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We aim to make the text as simple as possible to understand while maintaining accuracy and technical detail about project delivery.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this website is

Parts of this website are not fully accessible. For example:

  • some pages and document attachments are not written in plain English
  • some PDF documents are not fully accessible, but HTML alternatives are provided
  • some figures have alternative text, but it does not always convey the full meaning
  • some error messages are not clearly associated with form controls
  • webinar recordings rely on auto-generated captions

Each organisation that publishes content on projectdelivery.gov.uk is responsible for meeting accessibility regulations. We will update the statement when issues are fixed or when we expect them to be fixed.

Compliance status

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

Some images and figures have alternative text, but the description does not always convey the full meaning or references colours. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.1.1 (non-text Content).

Some PDF and Word documents have missing titles, metadata or required tagging. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.4.2 (page titles) and WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.1 (information and relationships).

Webinar recording captions are automatically generated and may contain errors. This does not fully meet WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.2.2 (captions – prerecorded). If you need an accurate transcript of a specific webinar recording, contact us and we can provide one.

PDFs and non-HTML documents

Some documents aren’t accessible because they:

  • have missing or incomplete metadata
  • don’t include text alternatives for images and figures
  • don’t use a semantic structure (for example, headings and lists are not marked up)

HTML versions of these documents are available from their library product page.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services.

How we tested this website

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 level A and level AA to test how accessible projectdelivery.gov.uk is and complete regular accessibility scans and audits.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We are working alongside government organisations to be fully compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria.

To improve compliance, we:

  • work with teams during content development to create accessible content from the start
  • include document accessibility reviews as part of our publishing process
  • build accessibility knowledge across content owners through ongoing support, guidance and training
  • reviewing the accessibility of pages and sections when content updates are needed
