This workbook is for people who manage or support benefits management in government portfolios, programmes and projects. It’s designed to help you:

  • understand what benefits management is and its role in successful delivery
  • apply the guidance from the Teal Book in your day-to-day work
  • improve how you identify, value, plan, track and realise benefits

It’s based on the principles in The Teal Book guidance on benefits management, which is part of the wider Green Book family. The Teal Book sets out how to manage benefits across the delivery lifecycle. This workbook helps you put that guidance into practice.

You don’t need to read it all at once. You can dip into the sections that are most relevant to your role or stage of delivery.

This workbook is for anyone involved in benefits management, including:
